A failing, flailing playwright at the end of his tether, visits a library to find the anecdote to his writer’s block, but finds a strict librarian instead.... Will their mutual lexiconic fascination lead to semantic romance?

Developed during Covid in 2020, Paul has been working with Olivier Award winning West End & Broadway Director and Dramaturg, Guy Masterson to develop this idea for the stage. This will be its first time in front of an audience. We hope you have fun... but bring a dictionary!

Holiday Island

A comedy drama about typical British holidaymakers.

Holiday Island – a British comedy drama, is set in a typical if superior quality holiday hotel in a popular tourist resort, such as Tenerife. A group of newly arrived holiday-makers are just convening in the lobby.  A poignant, yet funny British comedy drama that shows people as they really are when they are away from the comfort of home.

Script and licensing for ‘Holiday Island’ is available from ‘Off The Wall Plays’.

The Edge

A play about climate change.

In the midst of a torrential storm, five strangers are, quite literally, stuck on the edge of a downed bridge above a raging river. As they wait for emergency services to arrive, Michael, and Daphe both agree that that the disaster is the result of climate change. They are approached by Raj, a kind-hearted older man, and Stephen, an unconventional yet flashy drama professor caught up in the exciting theatrics of the unfolding events in this drama about climate change.

Script and licensing for ‘The Edge’ is available from ‘Off The Wall Plays’.

Bemused

A British comedy about youth and age.

Graham and Anne have two children, Polly and Tom. Polly moved out years ago, got married, had two kids, then split from her partner. Tom, the opposite of his sister, has never left home and spends his days playing computer games in his room or spending time with his on-off girlfriend, Amy. We also meet the next door neighbour, elderly Mr B, Anne’s sister Barbara and Max, Graham’s best friend. Although these people are from many different generations, they all have one thing in common – they want love and companionship; they’re just in different stages of their lives with finding it! A British comedy about youth and age and finding love!

Script and licensing for ‘Bemused’ is available from ‘Off The Wall Plays’.

Beyond The Edge

A play about climate change and the climate emergency.

This is a school play about climate change – for once it’s not all doom and gloom, but it is wet. That is to say – there is a flood. A BIG one! Four young students out for the day end up trapped with their two teachers after a bridge gives way on their way home. They are stuck on a hill, on the precipice of the drop off into the raging waters below. While they wait for help – they begin to question what it is that made the bridge give way, the constant rain, and their own roles in the matter.

Script and licensing for ‘Beyond the Edge’ is available from ‘Off The Wall Plays’.
